Happy 50th BD sweetie!

30 year anniversary

…of my first wedding. We were just kids playing adults.

Surely in love, but could this girl be really thinking that she is ready to start her own family?

My self-made hairdo did not look so great ;) but the dress was pretty good

considering that I made it impromptu right before the wedding.

Even though later we discovered that it was a silly idea and we were utterly incompatible, this little person we created made it all worthwhile ;)

I remember how much I enjoyed developing those first photos of my baby.

discovering the treasure

From the box of old photos and letters that I found at my parents house during my last visit. Ksush, do you remember how you wrote creative letters to your grandparents? These are some of my favorites (more coming later).

That was about the time you were 7. Unfortunately, no pictures of you drawing…

15 years have past

Once upon a time there was a young woman who had a hard time surviving in an absurd world of collapsed Soviet Empire. She was dreaming of a prince who would come to her rescue.

And her dream came true. She couldn’t believe it…

He brought her to a pleasant world of American suburbs and gave her a car to drive and a big house to live.

ks_car95.jpg

He spoiled her little daughter with her own room and endless gifts.

ks_room94.jpg

And gave her a whole bunch of step children to love.

pn_family94.jpg

He took her to so many trips that her head was spinning.

All that didn’t work out so well, but that would be another story…

And why it’s always much more interesting to look at those from 40+ years ago?

1930

Looking through some old photos found one of my favorite, my grandma at 26 in Krimia (on the left). I like all the fashion details of 1930. The funniest part is that her girlfriends look kind of like drag queens ;-) (click on the photo to enlarge)

natasha, happy birthday!

I didn’t realize until now that we are friends for over 30 years!!! For some reason, I see this photo as one of the finniest from our youth.
Помнишь, мы решили что наши лица одни из самых круглых на потоке? ;)
