2009 was probably one of the most significant years of my life.
My hands are not well enough to type all the details, so here are the highlights, I will bring related stories later and link them to the lines bellow:

• Important dates of the year:
  — my 50th BD,
  — 25th Ksen’s BD,
  — 15th anniversary of living in US;
• I got a glimpse of finding my inner peace (and that is the most important happening in my new and improved life);
• Took lots of classes in trading & active investing, looking for a new way of making income without using my hands excessively;
• Started eating normal food and enjoying a lot our new (that used to be my old) diet (meat, eggs, butter, etc.);
• I suddenly started enjoying rock music (even hard rock and heavy metal);
• Upgraded to more upscale shopping and refreshed my wardrobe with colors I haven’t worn for years, if ever;
• After several years of not going anywhere, went quite a few times to the movie theaters and concerts;
• Upgraded to a new coffer brand (being extremely particular about coffee, it is an important event ;-));
• Started exercising with Wii (oh!, finally so much fun to get fit);
• Went to the ocean…after so many years.

The most shocking (unexpected) and the best ever gift of my entire life! My daughter gave us Wii. Now I’m getting fun every day while exercising and improving my balance. Later I will post a video of two of us playing.

This time we took the most difficult class on trading Options. Being completely new to the concept, during the lecture, I was getting dizzy from hyperactive brain sells development. The instructor was often frustrated with the class dumbness. On the third day he showed us this clip.

I hadn’t had beef for 14 years. Within last few weeks I was listening to the recordings of the Weston Price 2008 conference and started contemplating on the idea of coming back to my roots. Today we bought some beef from happy cows at the Amish Market and I made my first meet stock.

Something strange has happened. Our precious little baby suddenly got sick and for two days we were sure we lost her. She looked barely alive. This is our seventh (!) hamster and we know by now they never survive… On the third day though, she miraculously stopped shaking and lying flat and started moving a little and look pretty happy. We hope so much that she will somehow recover…

We are finally #1 applicants for the adoption. All other dogs we applied for are already adopted. This little Papi (strange name, we’ll find a better one) was abandon by his owners and we would really like to give him our love and everything else he needs.
