magnificent insanity
2. November 2009 by tw.
“The Hairdresser’s Husband” is one of my favorite movies of all times. If I could only dance like Jean Rochefort (the husband) and live in the moment… There is a hypnotizing magic in his madness when he moves as if being possessed by the music, and nothing else matters but his love to Mathilde.

thoughtfulness is the spirit of tea ceremony
26. October 2009 by tw.
Tonight, we went to JICC for a tea ceremony with the Grand Master Kobori Sojitsu. This was my first time to experience the beauty and tranquility of the formal Japanese tea ceremony. I took a couple of quick shots just to keep as memorabilia of the special event.

I couldn’t find a video of the Grand Master, but this is a very close version of what we saw.

Béla Bartók
4. October 2009 by tw.
Béla Bartók is our latest great discovery. We went to a free concert at the NAS and listened to amazing String Quartet No.1 in A Minor. If you recently went through lots of pain and anguish and feel that life is a bit too hard on you…do yourself a favor: go to a live performance of Quartet No.1 and bring a box of tissues with you, or better a big old fashioned handkerchief. The relief is guarantied.

The Double Life of Veronique
1. October 2009 by tw.
Krzysztof Kieslowski’s The Double Life of Veronique (1991) is one of the most “delicious” movies I’ve ever seen. I can look forever at the perfect face of Irene Jacob. This movie is one of those creations that I don’t want to critique, just savor the every moment of it. Enjoy ;)

bed and sofa
27. September 2009 by tw.
My favorite silent movie of all times. No words or color needed, the whole story is beautifully told with eyes and gestures… oh so good!

beautiful inspiration
24. September 2009 by tw.
Having some limitations that disrupt my life and periodically challenge my spirit, I always find inspiration in those who do not allow anything to stand in their way to greater accomplishments.
