summer gardens (practicing fake smile :)

We’re taking full advantage of beautiful summer days by going to the gardens as often as we can. Very relaxing.

flavor the moment

I’m trying to practice making easy still shots without doing any strenuous activity (like this image for JPG challenge). Not sure if I’ll ever be able to do my favorite hand-held spontaneous shots, but I have to do at least something that makes me feel hopeful. Every morning I wake up with my right hand almost paralyzed… I get up, I smile, and flavor the moment.

the sky was beautiful!

Again, I was happy to have a cellphone camera to capture at least this poor version of the gorgeous sky we saw tonight.

dupont circle

We had a wonderful day in DC, spent a few hours around Dupont Circle like tourists. Went there specifically for my haircut, eventually both got nice short cuts and took a few pictures ;)

The most amazing book store Kramerbooks & Afterwords Cafe with the best selection of books, lots of food (!) and live music. That was my shocking introduction to America 14 years ago. I love it.

thursday in suburbs

Tonight we had a really good time at the local town center. I took a few phone shots and let PS create the panorama.

my room

I  wasn’t able to clean the mess in my room for more than a year. First busy, then crippled. Now I’m getting little bit of my strength back and need to practice various activities for my arms. So this is my pledge: clean up my room and post a new photo by the end of the month.

tired

While looking through some of my photos, I noticed how tired my hands looked a year ago. The knuckle of my right middle finger looks (on this photo) so horrific that I had to crop it. I think I am finally getting some rest.
